Patrick Fischer
Don’t get ‘thrown under the bus!” Don’t “sell yourself short”! Come and learn how English word choices and idioms can influence your interpretation. Does one word equals one sign? NO! Semantics for an English word changes depending on the context of the sentence. Students will learn to let go of the source language, to select the right signs to match information delivered, and produce equivalent meaning in the target language. Learn how to interpret English idioms and more! Know that you will “ace” your next assignment.
This training will be taught in American Sign Language. No interpreter will be provided for this workshop.
