“Communications in the Technical World in ASL - Graphic, Art and Website”

Signs of Technology are an important part of communication in ASL (formal and non-formal). Techniques for using specialized discourse with technical terms includes vocabulary (signs), grammar, classifiers, visual, space, and fingerspelling which are properly applied to match technical information. Context is applied when using vocabulary - Example: “copy, cut, paste” on the computer screen compared to paper showing different signs and visual aspects of terms. This is training open to participants with varying levels of ASL.

Doors will open at 9:00AM
